What is the importance of Tundra as a food producer?

Tundra has a cycle of biotic creatures sourcing energy off others. It is essential for Tundra to be food producer in order to sustain the animals and organisms in the environment and maintain their healthiness and agility. If the Tundra's food production were to be affected in some way, many of the species in the habitat could become endangered or worse still, extinct.
What is the main food products grown in Tundras?
The main food products of the Tundras are liverworts, grasses, lichens, herbs and caribou mosses. Although, these small shrubs and plants seem insignificant, they are the basis for the Tundra food web.
